TERRIBLE SERVICE! I'D GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!
I ordered 4 faux beams from ArchitecturalDepot.com on January 25,2026. At the time of purchase, the estimated DELIVERY window provided was February 2 – February 4. This timeline was a critical part of my shopping decision because the beams were intended to be used to build a wedding ceremony arch for a wedding the second week of March.
On February 4th, I received an email stating the item was "in production but running late" with a new SHIP date of February 10th (note: this changed from a delivery estimate to only a ship estimate). The very next day, February 5th, I received another email contradicting the previous (February 10th) update, now the beams were on BACKORDER, not in production as previously stated, and the new ship date was moved to March 3rd. That same message suggested contacting them if I needed something sooner because similar products might be available.
Because of the wedding timeline, I called immediately and explained the situation to a customer service representative. I clearly stated these beams were for a wedding arch and that a March 3rd ship date would not leave enough time for construction. She told me she understood and offered to substitute different beams that were described as "already in stock and ready to go." On her recommendation, I remained on hold while she verified this with the warehouse. After she confirmed availability, I accepted the substitution she recommended and received a revised order confirmation.
The new order confirmation stated "usually ships in 10–12 business days." When I asked about this, she assured me it was an automatic system message and that the replacement beams would ship within the week once a freight carrier pickup was scheduled.
Despite those assurances, the order continued to be delayed. Because the updated invoice referenced a 10–12 business day shipping window, I decided to wait until February 18th to check again (10 days after the new order was placed). When I called on February 18th, I was told there was another delay and that the new ship date would be February 20th. When I expressed my frustration about the delay, I was told the beams were put through production as a quality control measure and that they would be out of production by the end of the day, the following morning at the latest. Because of this, the 20th was the earliest they could schedule a truck for pickup. On the evening of February 19th, I received another email, moving the ship date once again. This time, the ship date moved to February 24th. Absolutely frustrated, I waited. On February 25th, I checked the order status and it showed that the expected ship date was still February 24th. I once again called to get the correct status and the customer service rep told me she would contact the warehouse and find out what was going on and email me with a status update. Shortly after that phone call, I received the email and it stated that the order was now expected to ship March 2nd.
At that point, frustrated and angry, I immediately called back and told them I wanted to cancel the order because the beams wouldn't arrive in time for use to construct the arch before the wedding. The individual I spoke with told me the order could not be canceled because the items were custom order items and once they enter production, they can't be cancelled. Keep in mind, the original "custom" beams I ordered were cancelled because of a backorder issue and replaced with in stock, ready to ship items. I attempted to explain more than once the constant problems I've encountered with this order only to be repeatedly told there was nothing they can do, once a custom order enters production, it can't be cancelled.
My experience with architectrualdepot.com has been nothing but disappointing. This experience has been clouded with multiple conflicting status updates (on backorder vs. in stock vs. in production), repeated shipping delays, and assurances that ultimately amounted to nothing. Finally, the most recent (possibly fictious) expected ship date makes this product impossible to use for the upcoming wedding giving it zero value to me.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone needing faux beams or similar architectural products research alternative suppliers before ordering from architecturaldepot.com. Especially if you have a firm timeline or event deadline that cannot move.
Selection was easy, description was accurate. Product arrived in perfect condition in a timely fashion. Would not hesitate to use Architectural Depot again!
The product seems to be of good quality. We're not at the point of installing it yet as of this date due to a delay in our renovation project.
Also, we were quick to receive the product.
Our midwestern weather delayed delivery a bit, but they arrived safely and just as expected. We put them up on Saturday and they are just beautiful. I am so pleased! This is my 3rd sizable order from Architectural Depot and I have never been disappointed!
I ordered a set of shutters and the arrived in a timely manner. The box had some damage at one corner.
I called and sent photos because the corner was cracked on one shutter. I asked if they would refund me a small amount and I would repair the crack.
They sent me a small refund, repaired the crack and they were up in 2 days.
3 of 16 shutters arrived damaged. Awaiting refund to be credited to my account.
I had received two emails from Noah Kratz and responded to one of them saying that I really liked the sample I had received and then asked a question about whether or not the shutter would have finish on the other side since these were going to be used as real shutters. Never heard a word back from you guys. This is not some trifling project to my husband and I but apparently it isn't worth your time to answer a simple question. I hope to hear from one of you soon!
Easy to talk with Under stood what I was looking for Had the right height and width that I was looking for Looking forward to see how my new curb appeal looks like!
Originally shopping for standard wood moulding. In my online search, Architecturaldepot.com was prominently displayed and there I found out about PVC moulding which is less delicate to work with, and will obviously last longer than any of the wood options. Exactly what I needed, ordering was simple and my shipment arrived in a timely manner. Very satisfied and thank you so much! MEM
These brackets were not what I expected. They are very heavy duty brackets that will hold up a large shelf so we will keep them for a future project. They are not what we needed for the shelves we hung in our new kitchen but appreciate the quality.
Ordered some Timberthane faux beams on June 9th. Ship date was supposed to be July 7th. With no email updates, ship date was moved to July 14th and then July 23rd. Now on July 28th, the faux beams still haven't shipped, but their site still shows a July 23rd ship date. Called customer service and told them that this is the last item for my home remodel and their delay is causing a delay in my move in. They went on and on about a factory problem causing the delays, so I asked them why nobody from their company called me for an update. She said "Sorry, the ship date is just an estimate and there is nothing they can do. It's a custom item and no refunds are possible". With this overall experience, I would not buy from this company again.
When my order initially arrived, all of the pieces were broken. The shipping box was fine, but the pressure placed on the thinnest point of the fretwork design by the shrink wrap caused the breakage. I contacted customer service, submitted photos, and received a replacement order one week later. There was no additional charge. I am halfway through painting and installing the panels, and they look great! I am very pleased with the overall experience, and only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because of how the initial package arrived.
This rubber Goulding needs better glue to stick to the bath tub. I cleaned the tub with alcohol and I had to put silicon around the Goulding to get it to stay.
Quick delivery.
Shutters are plastic instead of vinyl, hopefully they won't warp in this Florida sun.
Disappointed there are no cap covers for the screws! I really don't want to see screw heads on my shutters 😢
Shutters as advertised, Look good very happy with speed of order.
Will order again when needed.
Thanks,
William Brown
Fast shipment, good product. I placed a small order at first to make sure that I'd be satisfied, and I've already placed my second one!
It was a pleasure doing business with Achitecuraldepot. From the ordering to customer support was easy and I will recommend this business to everyone I know.
Somehow they double shipped and billed my order. When I called to return the one, I was told it was a "custom item" and could not be returned. Not sure why it is custom, they had over 90 in stock. Be very careful when dealing with this company!
Yes, I received my order, but my brother was washing my house prior to installing the shutters and the ladder and my brother fell. His right foot is hurt so my shutters are on hold currently.
Overall great experience in shopping and delivery. My only concern is the response time with competitive price matches found. Unfortunately, I am still waiting on a 2nd response and the actual refund to the agreed upon price match, when product was found cheaper at another online retailer and the shipping was free (shipping wasn't free here). So just waiting for that resolution and hopefully all will be well!
Answer: In my case, a scam. They sell 'no return' merchandise that isnt' what they advertised. Then tell you too bad. Criminals in my particular sale.
Answer: They absolutely will not replace anything defective. I ordered 5 pho beams over $4400 and they would not replace a damaged beam. This company is very bad. Beware.
