I purchased XF-series wheels (XF-218) from WheelSetGo and ran into a significant fitment problem related to TPMS valve stem clearance.
Facts:
The valve stem location on the XF wheels creates a TPMS valve stem clearance issue. After installation, it became clear that the valve stem position on these wheels does not provide adequate clearance for the TPMS valve stem and sensor setup.
The issue appears to be related to the valve stem placement on XF wheels combined with certain TPMS valve stem configurations.
Expectation:
Since WheelSetGo sells wheel packages and advertises fitment expertise, I expected them to help resolve the problem or at least suggest a workable solution.
Outcome:
I contacted customer service hoping to work toward a solution, but the interaction felt more harassing than helpful, and the responsibility for solving the issue was pushed back onto me.
There was actually a workable solution that allowed the wheels to function correctly, but WheelSetGo never suggested it. I ultimately had to research and determine the fix myself and then pay out of pocket to correct the problem.
This resulted in additional costs for:
Replacement of a damaged TPMS sensor
Different valve stems
Labor to remove and reinstall the setup
In other words, I had to diagnose the problem, identify the solution, and pay for the correction myself, even though the issue was tied to the wheel configuration they sold.
Advice to other buyers:
I would strongly recommend not purchasing XF wheels from WheelSetGo unless you independently verify TPMS valve stem clearance and the correct setup beforehand, because if a problem occurs you may be left figuring out the solution and paying to fix it yourself.
